Warsaw South Elementary Library

I am a lifelong resident of Warsaw, Missouri.  I attended school K-12 and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1988.  I graduated from State Fair Community College in 1990 with my Associate's degree.  I worked for a year at Newman's Country Mart to save up money to finish my college education.  I graduated cum laude from Southwest Baptist University in 1993.  I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in English.  I began my teaching career in Warsaw in 1994.  I was an aide to two teachers at the South Elementary.  The following year, I became a full time teacher for the district.  I taught 4th grade my first year and spent 19 years as a third grade teacher.  In 1999, I graduated from Central Missouri State University with my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  In 2011, I became certified as a Library Media Specialist.  I became the Elementary Librarian for the district in 2013.

I enjoy reading (what a surprise!), crocheting, gardening, and traveling.  I have been very fortunate to take several trips abroad.  I love sharing my adventures with my students.

I love to learn new things so I started taking piano lessons 3 years ago (and love it!), I took swimming lessons last summer (still working on it!), and am trying to learn to quilt (thank you, YouTube!).
